Every position is unique, linked to a department within a specific business area and a working location. This means that each position has its own specific responsibilities and challenges and matching profile.

Your responsibilities as Junior Supplier Manager:
The Junior Supplier Manager is responsible for the management of Vattenfall’s IT contracts. Within this department there is a focus on financial and contractual management and managing the relationships with the key suppliers such as Microsoft, SAP and TCS. Within this position the candidate sits at the steering side of IT and gets to see a wide range of topics. Working together with suppliers gives a front row seat in Digitalization and Transformation. On top of this a thorough and practical knowledge in core financial concepts that enable IT within a business is gained.

Key responsibilities:
 
  • Creating / Maturing the supplier management framework
  • Managing specific supplier contracts
  • Financial handling of the different contracts, operationally, budget and forecasts

Your profile as Junior Supplier Manager:
We are looking for recent graduates holding an academic degree as well as young talents with no more than 3 years of working experience. You are fluent in business English, skills in other world languages can be a merit. Furthermore, you are willing to relocate for possible assignments throughout the organization. Of course you identify yourself with our principles: active, open, positive and safe.

As a person you are a brilliant networker, you know how to involve and align with people around you in order to drive forward. You are a critical thinker, fast learner, always with one ear on the ground to catch up new IT developments. We are looking for a person with excellence performing mindset. You are a driver of new digitalization. And specifically for this role, you are able to cooperate / collaborate with many different departments (Finance, IT, Legal, Procurement etc) what also makes you a flexible person. Furthermore, most topics within Supplier Management require a complex analysis for where the root cause of the problem is on organizational and process level. Analytical thinking or problem solving skills are therefore highly required.

As a Junior Supplier Manager you recognize yourself in the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor/ Master degree, preferably in economics, business, finance, IT or at least visible affinity with these areas
  • Skilled in MS Office, for example Excel and PowerPoint
  • Some IT understanding is preferred (server, licences etc)

Location: The team sits in Amsterdam, Berlin, Hamburg, Helsinki, Stockholm and Katowice, so one of these locations will be your base location (preferably Stockholm).
