The department for Nuclear Design and Analysis is now looking for two reactor physicists.

The main tasks of the department Nuclear Design and Analysis are to perform the nuclear design for the fuel to be delivered to the Vattenfall’s nuclear power plants Ringhals and Forsmark and to review licensing analyses for new types of nuclear fuel. Other reoccurring assignments are core design optimization and safety analysis for the coming operating cycle outages at the power plants. The department provides also different types of analyses within its competence areas which are reactor physics, thermal hydraulics and transient analysis. To perform these tasks, the department uses advanced computer codes to simulate both steady-state and transient conditions in the core.

You will be part of a very qualified team. The work includes close contacts with our colleagues in Forsmark and Ringhals and with our suppliers of nuclear fuel and computer software. Together with the power plants and suppliers of codes and nuclear fuel, we continuously work to improve our processes and products.
