For our Civil and Structural Engineering department within Business Area Wind, we are looking for a Senior Lead Engineer – FEM Specialist to be a part of  the design team and drive forward our new foundation solutions.

The Civil and Structural department is the competence centre for all civil and structural related aspects of a wind farm on- and offshore, supplying cradle to cradle services, technical competences and project management all under one roof. We build on continuous improvement and entrepreneurial mind-set in order to set the standard for future wind foundations.
Your job
As our new Senior Lead Structural Engineer for FE modelling you will be the an important contributor in developing and improving our design tools and methodologies for monopiles. Your main focus will be to scrutinize and optimize structural details for attachment points to secure the right input for fatigue assessment. You will be responsible for setting up the right models and develop the process for interaction with the rest of the design team.
Furthermore, the main responsibilities include: 
• Project specific primary steel design
• Assist in developing design tools and methods to achieve continuous improvement
• Contribute to conceptual development
• Identifying design drivers and potential R&D areas for the concept
• Assist projects in technical queries relating to primary steel design and certification
Your profile:
You are a structural engineer to the bone, but also possess the ability to see things in wider context and can advise and help based on your knowledge and knowhow without doing thorough calculations. You have an innovative mind-set and can see yourself working in an environment where we value entrepreneurship, the pragmatic approach and helpfulness in our daily work. You can work self-dependent while sharing and seeking knowledge in the team. You show initiative and have a flexible approach to your work. You possess good interpersonal skills and can communicate technical messages on a clear and constructive way. You have an innovative mind-set working result-oriented and meet required deadlines. In addition, the following qualifications are important for this position:
• B.Sc or M.Sc degree in structural engineering or equivalent
• Experienced with structural design codes such as e.g. DNV, ISO, API and EC
• Min 5 years of experience within relevant area
• Experienced with FEM and structural analyses
• You are fluent in English, both in speech and writing
• Experience from the wind and offshore business
