For our Civil and Structural Engineering department within Business Area Wind, we are looking for a Senior Lead Engineer to deliver detailed secondary steel design.

The Civil and Structural department is the competence centre for all WRG foundation related aspects of our offshore wind farms. We build on continuous improvement and entrepreneurial mind-set in order to set the standard for future wind foundations.
As our new Lead Engineer you will deliver detailed design of secondary structures primarily for monopile foundations, but potentially also for other foundation concepts. Your primary responsibility includes:
• Detailed design of internal and external platforms – boat landing system – ladders, resting platforms and other accessway – corrosion protection system
• Advanced FE modelling in Ansys
• Timely delivery of drawings and documentation together with CAD resources
• Secure certification of design
• Coordination with internal and external stakeholders
• Driving and developing design tools and methods to achieve continuous improvement
Your main responsibility will be focussed around the design of foundation for specific asset projects and our product development for future foundations. You will work together with our internal design team and thereby also impact the overall design philosophy.
You have an innovative mind-set and can see yourself working in an environment where we value entrepreneurship, pragmatic approach and helpfulness in our daily work. You can work self-dependent while sharing and seeking knowledge in the team. You show initiative and have a flexible approach to your work. You possess good interpersonal skills and can communicate technical messages in a clear and constructive way. In addition, the following qualifications are important for this position:
• B.Sc or M.Sc degree in structural engineering or equivalent
• You have 5 to 10 years of experience with structural design preferably from the offshore wind industry.
• Experience from working with structural design codes such as e.g. DNV, ISO, API and EC.
• You are fluent in English, both in speech and writing
• Experience from design of secondary steel for MP foundations is preferred
