Sourcing Management, Commodities is looking for a Sourcing manager to work in the team Physical Power Management (PPM)
The Business Unit Commodities (Commodities) is part of Vattenfall’s Customer & Solutions Nordic. Commodities supports and coordinates Business- and Consumer sales on a daily basis. The main responsibilities for Commodity are physical purchasing, sales risk management, product management and sales contract portfolio management.
PPM is responsible to provide physical trading services to our energy intensive customers, manage load forecasting and purchase on NordPool, balance settlement and allocation of sourced electricity volumes and finally support our sales organisation with expertise, knowledge and analysis. The responsibility for the team includes all the Nordic countries and the team supports both our Business Sales and Consumer Sales. The goals of the team are to offer physical trading service in world class, support our sales channel to do profitable deals considering pricing the risks related to the responsibility and continuously have the lowest balancing cost on the market.
The responsibilities of this role include:
You will be a part of the team in the dispatch center to do the daily load forecasting, the purchase at NordPool Spot and intraday trading. In addition to that you will in cooperation actively improve and develop our interfaces and our physical trading services. Furthermore you will support the process of allocating volumes and cost regarding our physical electricity purchase towards our sales segments. You will also support Business Sales in the dialog with customers regarding balance management, consumption flexibility and physical trading services.
You are flexible and a service minded team player. You enjoy cooperation and developing our daily business as well as our interfaces. You are actively striving for creating value to the business and are aware of the importance of reaching targets.
Furthermore you are analytical, performance oriented and self-driven. You have a solution oriented mindset, eager to develop our business and you have the ability to balance the value both for the customers and Vattenfall.
Your skills and qualifications as appointed Sourcing manager
• You possess a Masters level degree in Science or Business administration (or equivalent).
• Fluent in Swedish and English.
• Good IT-skills, especially Excel and are used to work in different IT-systems.
• Good knowledge of the Nordic electricity market, especial the physical market.
• Meritorious to have knowledge of project- and process management.
• Meritorious to have basic knowledge of financial accounting, business and financial controlling.
