Your main responsibilities as Trainee within Site Conditions & Loads
You will work in cross functional projects and cross departments mainly in the area of Engineering Offshore Wind and gather insights into the whole organization of Vattenfall and BA Wind e.g. Onshore and Solar & Batteries. Working close with the team of dedicated experts within Sites Conditions & Loads and sub-departments of Wind-, Met-Ocean-, Geoscience and Load-assessments you will be introduced to the aspects of how to analyze site specific conditions offshore. Aim is to get a perfect understanding of all parameters determining site specific adaptations that are needed to amend a standardized product to all local factors.
- Acquire and assess data, run simulations, draft reports and compile results in presentations together with various experts
- Work within the project management of Site Conditions & Loads from development to asset management
- Support to improve structures, processes and alignments of cross department interfaces in Engineering offshore
- Assist the management team of Site Conditions & Loads in various topics
- Prepare conceptual solutions for strategic/organizational topics
- Identify and propose improvement measures across the whole BU Offshore in close cooperation
Your profile as Trainee within Site Conditions & Loads

We are looking for recent graduates holding an academic degree. You are fluent in business English. Skills in other world languages can be a merit. As Trainee within Site Conditions & Loads you recognize yourself in the following qualifications
- University degree (or equal) in engineering, “Erneuerbare Energien” / Renewable Energy Systems, “Umwelt-/ Energietechnik“ or alike
- Knowledge of the Wind business and interest in the area of Site-assessments with a good understanding of the topics behind
- Technical mindset and basic understanding of project management
- Skilled in dealing with complex issues, problems and challenges
- Structured and able to go into the details whilst maintaining the overview
- Cooperative team player, communicative and pro-active
- Highly motivated, result driven, committed to deadlines and eager to take ownership
- Good Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Powerpoint skills
Location: Hamburg with frequent travels within Northern Europe, especially to Kolding (DK), London and Amsterdam.

Last day to apply is March 10th 2019. Selection period starts in March/April, followed by interviews in April/May. An assessment is also part of the recruitment process and will take place in May in Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands. The recruitment process will be finalized around the end of May/beginning of June. The last step will be a pre-employment screening. Starting date of the Vattenfall International Trainee Programme will be September 2nd 2019.
